A Metanoia Ministries Leadership Intervention is a comprehensive, independent evaluation of leadership in a given church. The Intervention process is similar to a church assessment but is limited to interviews and forums with church leaders only. Churches with issues, conflicts, and problems limited to staff, boards, and ministry teams may seek a leadership intervention rather than a full church assessment.
The intervention is conducted by a team of three to five people who have been trained and selected for their spiritual maturity and trained to use their gifting as part of an interdependent team.
The purpose of the Intervention is to:
- Gather qualitative and quantitative data to accurately identify and understand the underlying dynamics of a church conflict—the leadership issues that contribute to systemic dysfunction; and
- Analyze and report strengths and weaknesses and to recommend redemptive strategies to intervene in the conflict by removing the barriers that are creating the system dysfunction and keeping the church from health.
A Metanoia Ministries Leadership Intervention is a one to two-month process from start to finish, including a six-week advance preparation, a three to four day onsite visit by the team for data collection and training, and a follow-up written report.
